I’ve been away for a few days…
This past Sunday I moved back into my little apartment right off campus since classes were starting up again. I’m in a situation since my apartment is so tiny that the only place I have to hoop is standing on top of my coffee table (while watching Hulu…mainly Jon Stewart). I’m trying to figure out a schedule that works with my classes for working on hooping. I’m considering the Rec Center but since I’m still new to the hoop, I would prefer to practice in a secluded area. Well, we will see what happens I suppose! No classes on friday, and Tues/Thurs classes do not start until 12:30pm so maybe I can score some early hooping action, that is if the fine people of the student rec center will allow a hula hoop into the building. I mean…they should, right?

I decided I’m going to make another hoop today, which would make 3 so far (not including the LED hoop that is somewhere within the UPS mans grasp…or around his waist.) Anyway, I’m not sure on the colors that I want to use yet, but the size will be similar to the last one.
I’m also trying to decide how my “practices” will go. Apart of me wants to have a structured time and organized technique but the other part of me thinks that I should just do it…but if organized, I think I would have a better chance of learning and remembering everything, so I guess I just answered my question. I’m imagining a notebook of sorts that will contain notes and tabs separating the different techniques. I will write down my own notes and maybe have some sort of illustration to make it visually appealing. Maybe I should have like some sort of statement in the front telling/reminding me on my goals and shit. Hm…it’s difficult to visualize my note taking via internet, I need to really produce a rough draft.

Well, I’m off to either make a hula hoop or start on my notebook.

Today is January 14th and instead of donating blood, which I would have received a free Emeril Lagasse oven mit, I have decided to build my first hula hoop.
